Osaka City University (OCU) every year hosts exchange students from the University of Hamburg, Germany, under the academic exchange agreement between the two universities.

Two new exchange students arrived in Japan recently and paid a courtesy visit to Vice-President Miyano on 22 October. The students introduced themselves in Japanese and talked about their expectations and impressions of Japan. At the end of the meeting they were presented with a commemorative gift.

During their stay they will be following Japanese language classes, classes on contemporary Japan and classes in their own chosen field of study. Additionally they will start preparing for their graduation thesis for the University of Hamburg.
