The ceremony took place after the morning classes finished at 12:15 in front of the Global Village and in beautiful weather. The ceremony was led by Yu Kodama, 4th year student of the Faculty of Science (right in the photo) and Ken Sawano, 3rd year student of the Faculty of Economics (left in the photo).

The opening started with a speech by President Arakawa, after which the official tape-cutting took place. Six official and student representatives lined up in front of the red and white tape and cut it simultaneously, followed by a big applause from the students and staff who had gathered for the festive opening.

The party then moved inside, where the Secretary General of the OCU Education Supporters Association Isao Yuasa gave a toast and the buffet lunch started with the President, Vice President and many students present. The party was closed by a speech by the Director of the Global Exchange Office Shin Nakagawa.
