The Faculty of Medicine invited two professors of the University of California San Diego (UCSD) to give a special lecture at OCU on 6 February 2017. Professor David Brenner (Dean of the UCSD School of Medicine) and Associate Adjunct Professor Tatiana Kisseleva gave their guest lecture on the subject of liver fibrosis.

The scholars from UCSD visited the laboratory of Professor Norifumi Kawada in the Hepatology Department where they first talked with researchers and students and later gave a special lecture specifically aimed at 5^th year students and researchers about the most recent developments in their field.
