“Cooking with President” which becomes 4th times was held at President’s room in Sugimoto Campus on January 22, 2018 as new year special plan.
When it comes to “Cooking with President”, it means cooking class which is usually conducted in English by President Tetsuo Arakawa at Global Village. The style is that participants enjoy not only the meal but also the cooking process with President. This time, the idea of “Cooking with President” was changed because it is held at lunch time. President invited students in his room for lunch. 19 students including 15 international students gathered at the room.
Vice President Hiroyuki Sakuragi and staff in Global Exchange Office joined, too. President served his ready-to-eat stew and curry to the participants.
They enjoyed the lunch very much. Wang Xiaoya, exchange student from Shenzhen University said the beef stew was so tasty. I definitely want to buy it home. Park Hyewan from Korea said it is first time to join this kind of event. It was fun and the curry was good. President Arakawa expect to stimulate campus communication through such as this event. He wants to keep “Cooking with President” in the future.
