The Osaka City University International Residence offers accommodation to foreign scholars and students who are visiting OCU for a longer period of time to carry out research or international academic exchange.

Application procedures

Application is only possible through your host scholar at OCU.
① Submit the application form to the Global Exchange Office
（tel. 06-6605-3452/3453, weekdays from 8:45 to 17:15）
＊when rooms become available, announcements will be posted on the OCU portal site.
＊if there are more applications than availabilities, we will select applicants based on the following order of priority: (1) applicants with accompanying family members, (2) longest period of stay, (3) earliest date of arrival. If applicants meet exactly the same requirements, selection will be decided by lottery.
② Selection
The selected applicant will receive a Permission for Residence.
Please inform the Global Exchange Office of the date you will move in and hand in the official Report of Moving in.
③ The Manager will give you the key and any necessary information.
When moving in, please submit the List of Furnishings and Equipment to the Manager.
＊The host scholar or someone who will represent the host scholar must be present when you move in.
＊You must arrange for electricity, gas, telephone and internet individually.

Moving out

① Inform the Manager about the day you will move out
＊If the planned date of moving out is different from the date originally indicated at the time of your application, please inform us at least 1 month in advance.
＊Only if you inform us of any such changes at least 1 month in advance, the rent of the last month will be calculated on a per diem basis.
② Room inspection by the Manager
＊The host scholar or someone who will represent the host scholar must be present when you move out.
＊If there is any damage to equipment or furnishings you will need to pay a compensation. You need to arrange for the disposal of any items you have brought in by yourself. Please return the room to its original state.

Other

The host scholar will be responsible and will handle any matters relating to your stay.
