2. Health and Medical care

Please take care of your health and in case of illness or injury, we recommend that you go to the Health and Medical Services Center at the university (Sugimoto campus) or medical institutions

Annual health checkup
All students must have an annual checkup in spring (mid April~mid May). With this checkup, we will issue health certificate which is required when you apply for scholarships and dormitories.

3. Tuition exemption

International students are eligible for tuition exemption on condition that we consider your income and academic records.

4. Scholarships

If you wish to apply for the scholarship which requires recommendation from university, you have to submit the ‘application for Scholarship request’

5. Residential facilities Supports for International Students

Osaka City University Foreign Student residence

6. Tutorial system

This program is for new students who need assistance with Japanese language and daily life. A graduate student will be assigned to each new student to assist them for one year.

7. Japanese language Course and Japanese situation course (for undergraduate students)

It is required for undergraduate students to take these courses which allow them to earn credits.

8. Supplemental Japanese language Course

This is not a regular academic program, therefore students can not earn credits. (Every Monday as of 2008) Educational materials which may be helpful for your Japanese learning are available.

9. Events Supports for International Students

There are some events such as parties, training sessions, one day trip etc with opportunities to get in touch with Japanese culture, history and nature. Please check out the bulletin board Supports for International Students located the opposite side of Room 810.

10. Rooms Supports for International Students

Two rooms are available (2nd floor at Second Student Hall and 1st floor at Old Library Building) to provide comfortable space for meetings and special events. Students can make reservation 3 months in advance to use these rooms.

11. After graduation

Please provide your address and your employee’s address to Student Support Department, as we keep record of those who graduated from Osaka City University.
