On November 3oth, Monday, 2009, a Vietnamese Scientific Delegation visited Osaka City University, consisted of 12 members from Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Science and Technology, and from Universities. The delegation came to Japan to visit Osaka City University, Kyoto University, and Tokyo University for the purpose of research and exchange of opinions about industry-academia-government cooperation activities in Japanese universities.
At Media Center starting at 10 am, coordinator of Research Center for Industry Innovation made a presentation of Osaka City University's industry-academia-government cooperation activities and fund-raising. We have received many questions from the delegation and they seemed to be highly interested in our activities. Afterward, they visited the Incubator, and on behalf of the resident companies,Prof. Komatsu, CEO of Applied Nanoparticle Laboratories Corporation gave them a briefing on the Incubator’s overview and his company’s research contents in order to give them better understandings of OCU’s industry-academia-government cooperation.
In the afternoon, the delegation paid a courtesy call with Prof. Karasawa, the vice president of the university, and interchanged their opinions about more active relationships between Vietnam and OCU. Osaka City University plays an important role in JVGC (Japan-Vietnam Geoinformatics Consortium) and has kept continued friendship with Vietnamese universities and institutions. We would like to take this opportunity to enhance bilateral relationship.
