On 25 June 214 the new name for the Media Center rooftop was officially announced, after a competition in which students and staff could all hand in their proposals. The winning and now official name is:
Media Center Rooftop Garden Asteria. 

It is a combination of the following two proposals:
◎「Asteria」
     by Akimitsu Inoue (Graduate Student at the Graduate School of Business)
◎「Media Center Rooftop Garden」
     by Yoshimi Yoshioka (staff at the Media Center General Affairs Department)
There were 3 more runners-up who, together with the winners, all received a certificate handed out by OCU President Nishizawa.
