We are having medical technology exchange with India. (Department of neurosurgery, the Faculty and Graduate School of Medicine)

Prof. Kenji Ohata, (Department of neurosurgery, Dean of the Faculty and Graduate School of Medicine) who is a leader in a team has medical relationship with All India Institute of Medical Sciences or AIIMS as a member of one of a program in The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships from fiscal 2016.

This project on the second year is aimed to spread medical treatment technique and promote Japanese medical products in India by conducting training program for neurosurgical doctor in India. Prof. Ohata, doctors from Asahikawa Medical University, Shinshu University and Tsukuba University and Japanese companies join the program. Japanese team goes to India and introduces various medical trainings and the latest medical equipment. There is an acceptance training that Indian doctors come to Japan and have medical training and company visit. The both training programs are fruitful.

The participants of this project have high satisfaction. The project is very meaningful activity from both sides of international contributions and market development. Prof. Ohata said “I am very happy that these activities lead to prompt the friendship and medical relationship between India and Japan. At the same time, it would be so nice if the program brings many benefits and advantages to Japanese economy. Also it stimulates international exchange in OCU and inspires our students and staffs.”
