The annual China Festival "Beautiful China" was held with the help of Media Center and OCU CO-OP from 11 June to 21 June. Unlike previous years the festival was held in two sessions; the “lecture session” in the first week, and the “experience session” in the second week.

Under the theme of food, this year, various Chinese and Taiwanese culture and customs on food were introduced, which were well-received by participants. In the second session a cooking class was offered and the participants learned how to make real Chinese dumpling "jiaozi" or potstickers from scratch under the direction of OCU faculty and international students.

Despite the influence of the earthquake, the China Festival, participated by a total of roughly 600 participants, was successfully over.
