The Osaka City University (OCU) swimming club team achieved excellent results at the “66th National/Public University Swimming Meet” held from Saturday 10 to Sunday 11 August, 2019 at Kamoike Park Swimming Pool in Kagoshima Prefecture.

Results:
*Yuto Nishi (Captain of the OCU swimming club, 3^rd year of the Faculty of Economics): 1^st place in 50m freestyle and 3^rd place in 100m freestyle
*Yu Shigemura (3^rd year of the Faculty of Economics): 7^th place in 100m freestyle  　　
*OCU team: 4^th place in Men 400m Freestyle Relay, 5^th place in Men 800m Medley Relay and 5^th place overall

Yuto Nishi said firmly “Although I could not get satisfactory record in the individual race, I was happy to win the championship. I will try my best to time a better record at the next intercollegiate competition to be held next weekend. As it will become the final one for the 4^th year students, we all want to do our best and finish.”
