President of Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam, Visited Osaka City University for MoU Signing Ceremony

President Ta Thanh Van, Associate Professor Tran Huy Thinh and Associate Professor Pham Thi Bich Dao from Hanoi Medical University (HMU), Vietnam, visited Osaka City University (OCU) from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 May, 2019. On Wednesday 29 May, 2019 HMU and OCU concluded Memorandum of University at Sugimoto Campus and renewed the exchange agreement with OCU Graduate School of Medicine at Abeno Campus.
There has been MoU between OCU Graduate School of Medicine and HMU since 2010 and since then academic exchanges have been actively conducted. With the conclusion of the academic exchange agreement between the universities this time, further development of collaboration with HMU will be expected and future plans were proposed at the discussion meeting after the signing ceremony. Taking this opportunity of partnership renewal, promotion of mutual academic and human exchanges were promised.

In addition to the signing ceremony, the party of HMU visited Sugimoto Campus and Department of Hepatology at Graduate School of Medicine. A special lecture was conducted by Dr. Tran Huy Thinh at Graduate School of Medicine. There he introduced his research topics and findings which he has currently been working on at HMU. After the lecture, active discussion was made on the future direction among Dr. Thinh, OCU students and faculty members.
