The party of seven including Vice President Gong Siyi from Shanghai University (SHU), China, visited Osaka City University (OCU) on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 May, 2019.

Amongst them four visited OCU in advance on Wednesday 15th and they made research exchanges with professors at Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering for two days.  

Professors Cai Chuanbin and Zhang Yongping were invited to the Faculty of Science and attended the seminars of Dean Makoto Tsubota, Professors Hiroshi Itoyama, Shin Inouye, Akira Oguri, Associate Professor Masako Iwasaki and Lecturer Yunori Nishikawa as guests. They also exchanged opinions.

On the other hand Professors Lu Zhanpeng and Qian Guangren were invited to the Faculty of Engineering and attended the seminars of Professors Yoshinori Kanjo, Noritsugu Kometani, Masayuki Azuma and Associate Professor Satoshi Mizutani as guests. They also had a guided tour in the facilities.

On Thursday 16 May, SHU Vice President Gong Siyi visited OCU. After sharing time with exchange students from SHU, she made a courtesy visit to Vice President Hiroyuki Sakuragi where they confirmed further promotion of constructive academic partnership between both universities and exchanged opinions on students and research collaborations.
