Volunteer Activities by OCU and OPU Students

Students from Osaka City University (OCU) and Osaka Prefecture University (OPU) worked together for 2 days to help rebuild Nagano City after it was hit with “Typhoon 19” this last October.   

5 students from OCU, 8 students from OPU and 8 faculty/staff from both universities separated into two groups and spent the weekend of Dec. 7th cleaning up the Chikuma River in the Nagnuma and Hoyasu districts. 

【Volunteer activities】
1. Restoration work in apple fields that had suffered from high levels of mud and disaster wreckage
2. Cleaning photos corroded from water damage.
