The Research Center for Infectious Disease Sciences, Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka City University has been bringing together various basic and clinical fields to actively conduct research on infections related to COVID-19.

Mr. Shotaro Murao, CEO of ONES Co., Ltd., made a large donation to this "Research on Countermeasures against COVID-19 Infectious Diseases". A ceremony was held on October 23, 2020 to present a letter of appreciation Mr. Murao for the generous donation.

After some opening remarks by Dr. Norifumi Kawada, Dean of the Graduate School of Medicine, Dr. Akira Kaneko, Dean of the Research Center for Infectious Disease Sciences, gave some remarks, follow by Mr. Murao. After that, Mr. Murao received a letter of appreciation from Dr. Kawada and a commemorative gift from Dr. Kaneko.

After the presentation ceremony, they visited the New Infectious Diseases Laboratory, and Associate Professor Yasutoshi Kido talked about research aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 infections at OCU.

At the request of Mr. Murao, the donation will be used for research on measures against COVID-19 infections .
