On Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Cultural Exchange Office located on the first floor of the Media Center, the Faculty of Economics’ Sugita Seminar led by Associate Professor Naho Sugita co-hosted a workshop on Sustainable Development Goals with Sanwa General Contractor Inc. Themed "Experience SDGs!", the workshop attracted 9 more students in their first- and second-year at the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Commerce.
Participants were captivated by an SDG-themed game prepared by students and a member of Sanwa General Contractor Inc., and shared their thoughts and comments afterwards. "I think that the awareness and learning gained from the game can be applied in the real world," said one participant. This workshop provided a valuable learning place which stimulated deep thoughts about SDGs.
After the game, two students from the seminar introduced case studies related to SDGs. Starting with Sanwa General Contractor Inc.'s efforts to achieve the SDGs, they reported on collaborations among various other companies. They also talked about the advantages and disadvantages of electric vehicles, which is currently a hot topic in relation to environmental issues.
