On Friday 18 April Osaka City University (OCU) welcomed its new international students with an international exchange party. The welcome party is the first of two events held every year with the support of the OCU Education Supporters Association to offer international and Japanese students an extra opportunity to meet each other. 

After speeches by the Vice-President of International Affairs Miyano and Mr. Shengdi Jin (Chairman of the OCU Exchange Students Association) Dr. Minami (Chairman of the OCU Associates International Exchange Committee) kicked off the party with a toast. 

Later during the party the students of the OCU Global Members group, who organized the party, had prepared an interactive game for everyone to get to know each other and win prizes. The game was followed by a performance of a girls idol group consisting of OCU students. 

In total 167 students participated. We hope they all made new friends from different countries and will enjoy their years of study at OCU.
